What’s your best “grilling disaster” story?
We’re having dinner on the patio when one of my kids looking over my shoulder says “dad, should the grill be on fire like that?” A great teaching moment about fire extinguishers – everyone got one for Christmas that year. Obviously before my GrillDocs era!
If you had to pick: brisket, ribs, or burgers?
I finally reached that point in my BBQ journey where I’m ready to commit. Ribs are for dabblers, hamburgers are for the indecisive, but brisket? Brisket is for the dedicated. It’s for when you want to spend more time explaining your smoking process than actually eating. Plus, it’s the only cut of meat that truly understands the meaning of “low and slow”.
What’s your secret for winning over a crowd at a cookout?
Slow cooked Prime rib on the Weber ( or smoker ) nothing like it…and it keeps me in good graces with my Mother-in-Law.
